Privacy Policy
At Blendonomics, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and professional information. This policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard your data.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal information: name, email, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses when you place an order or contact us.
- Professional information: company name, role, and business contact details for B2B enquiries.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited on our website.
- Cookies and tracking: a small number of cookies, most of which you control. Section 4 sets out exactly what each one does.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process orders, payments and shipping.
- To communicate with you about products, offers and updates.
- To provide B2B services, including bulk ordering, collaborations and sample requests.
- To analyse trends, improve website functionality and optimise our services.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may share data with trusted partners and service providers for processing orders, shipping (Delhivery), payments (Razorpay) and AI chat replies (Anthropic).
- We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Chat with Bunty (our AI assistant)
- Bunty is an AI assistant. When you send a message, the message, the page you are on, the items in your cart (no payment details) and, if you gave them, your first name and the products you recently viewed are sent to Anthropic, PBC, which processes them on our behalf to write a reply. Anthropic is in the United States, so these messages leave India.
- Bunty remembers your first name and the last few products you viewed only on your own device (browser storage). “Forget me” in the chat menu clears it at once, and it expires after 180 days unused.
- We save every chat conversation on our servers to answer questions better, to see which questions customers ask, and to improve Bunty's knowledge. Phone numbers, email addresses and card-like numbers are removed before a chat is saved. Saved chats carry a random chat id, not your account, and we do not sell or share them.
- Recent chats are kept on our main server for up to 30 days. They then move to our own internal server, where our team and internal tools use them to improve answers, and they are deleted 12 months after the chat. To ask us to delete a chat, contact us with the date and time you chatted.
- If you ask to talk to a person, the chat is sent to our team by email together with the details you enter, and handled like any other enquiry.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The first time you visit, we ask which cookies you are willing to accept. There are three groups, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which we ask again.
- Essential. Always on, because the site cannot work without them. These keep your cart and checkout working and remember this cookie choice itself. They are not used to track you and they are never shared.
- Analytics. Optional. These let us see which pages get read and which recipes get downloaded, so we know what is worth making more of. The data stays on our own servers in India and is never sold or shared. Turning this off does not make you invisible to us: we still count the visit, but with nothing attached that could recognise you again.
- Marketing. Optional, and off unless you allow it. Where you have allowed it, advertising tags from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and Google measure how our ads perform and let us show them to people likely to be interested. This involves those companies receiving information about your visit, and it may be processed outside India. If you do not allow marketing cookies, their code is never loaded at all.
We do not use cookies to build profiles for sale, and we do not run advertising from other companies on this site.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data. Your personal and professional data is stored securely, and access is limited to authorised personnel. We never store your card details. Payments are processed directly by Razorpay.
6. Your Rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, and can opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us directly. You can withdraw your cookie consent yourself at any time, without contacting us, using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites.
