Monsoon MalabarFor filter coffee and milk drinks at home
Monsooned · Very Low Acidity
Green beans from Chikmagalur Arabica estates are weathered in the moisture-laden monsoon winds along the Malabar coast for weeks, swelling and fading from green to pale gold. The result is a light-roasted, very low-acid cup of dry tobacco, smoke and nut, built for milk-forward drinks and traditional South Indian filter service.

A Process Older Than the Standard
Monsoon Malabar is defined by a process, not a farm, the monsooning trades acidity for body on purpose, which is exactly what makes it a superb base for milk-forward drinks and traditional filter service.
On a two-SKU menu, it is the workhorse: it cuts through milk without disappearing and gives a filter coffee a weight that a bright washed lot cannot. Sell it for what it is, the most dependable body on your bar.
Making Monsoon Malabar at home
Monsoon Malabar is made by a process, not a farm. Green Arabica beans sit in the wet monsoon winds of the Malabar coast for weeks, swelling and fading to pale gold. The process trades acidity for body, so the cup is very low in acid, with dry tobacco, smoke and nut. That weight is why it suits milk coffee and South Indian filter.
